AIRLINE INDUSTRY INFORMATION-(C)1997-2004 M2 COMMUNICATIONS LTD

AirTran Airways has introduced a new nonstop service to Tampa from Akron-Canton Airport. The service will be operated on a daily basis, using Boeing 717 aircraft configured with 117 seats. The carrier previously offered a weekly service on the route.

Kish Air has launched a new service between Bahrain and Lar, Iran. The airline - which held a low-profile launch of service - will operate the route once weekly. The route will be served by a 50-seat Fokker-50 aircraft, with return adult fares priced at BHD75.
