AirAsia is to begin operations to its first destination outside Malaysia. On 8 December 2003, the airline will begin services to Phuket, Thailand. The airline currently flies to 13 domestic destinations, using a fleet of nine Boeing 737 aircraft.
Frontier Airlines has launched a new service between Denver International Airport and Gustavo Diaz Ordaz International Airport in Puerto Vallarta. The service - which is the carrier's fourth Mexican destination - will be operated three-times weekly. The carrier has also increased its operations to Los Cabos International Airport and Mazatlan's General Rafael Buelna International Airport to three weekly flights each, while its service to Cancun International Airport will be run daily.
On 8 December 2003, Continental Airlines will increase its nonstop service between its New York hub at Newark Liberty International and Hong Kong. The carrier will operate an additional flight on the route, increasing the frequency from four flights to five flights per week. The carrier will also add another flight on the route during the Christmas season.
