NEW PRESIDENT NAMED FOR HUGHES CANADA SYSTEMS DIVISION

 RICHMOND, British Columbia, Sept. 3 /PRNewswire/ -- A 25-year aerospace veteran has been named president of the Systems Division of Hughes Aircraft of Canada Ltd.
 Nancy Price, who has been an officer of Hughes Canada since 1991, is responsible for more than 200 Hughes employees in Canada in addition to more than 300 subcontractor personnel.
 "Nancy Price has a wealth of experience in the delivery of large aerospace programs both in Europe and North America," said John Belcher, president and CEO of Hughes Aircraft of Canada Ltd. "She has led the systems development of the Canadian Automated Air Traffic System program and will bring much valued leadership to the position as president of Hughes Canada Systems Division."
 Hughes Canada's Systems Division, formed in 1989, is pursuing air traffic control business in the domestic Canadian, Asia-Pacific and European markets. The division recently was selected to build a $50 million air traffic control system for Switzerland.
 Price previously successfully managed numerous large-scale computer- based airspace management systems for Hughes. Prior to her appointment to Hughes Canada, she served as chief executive officer of the United Kingdom Systems Ltd. consortium in London, which served as prime contractor for the UK Air Defense Ground Environment programme valued at more than $500 million.
