NEW OWNER TO REVITALIZE BOBLO ISLAND

 DETROIT, March 23 /PRNewswire/ -- Boblo Island has been purchased by Mike Moodenbaugh, a Seattle businessman, it was announced here today.
 Moodenbaugh's objectives for Boblo include:
 Short-term Goals
 -- Prepare the park for the May 22 target opening date.
 -- Stabilize the island financially.
 -- Re-establish the park as a long-term entity.
 -- Establish a long-term plan for Boblo based on input from local
 groups.
 Mid-term Goals (1994-96)
 -- Explore the viability of expanding the offerings of Boblo.
 Possibilities include an expanded marina with amenities for
 boating traffic.
 -- Determine the feasibility of a water park on Boblo Island for the
 13-27-year-old age group.
 Long-term Goals
 -- Develop 100 acres of additional land in Amherstburg, which would
 include a 10-acre full-service RV park and residential
 properties.
 -- Maintain Boblo's status as a premier amusement facility.
 Moodenbaugh owns Omni Properties Inc., a commercial and residential development firm he founded in 1985 in the Greater Seattle area. Omni operates Enchanted Parks Inc., a 50-acre amusement park named Enchanted Village and Wild Waves. After Moodenbaugh purchased Enchanted Parks in April 1992, the amusement park had its most successful year, financially as well as in attendance, of its 16-year history.
 Moodenbaugh, 30, is a native of Whitepass, Wash. He is married and has one daughter.
