NEW NISSAN SENTRA XE LIMITED EDITION OFFERS HIGHER LEVEL OF EQUIPMENT, BETTER VALUE

CARSON, Calif., June 14 /PRNewswire/ -- Nissan's most affordable sports sedan, the Sentra, has become an even better value with the introduction of the new Sentra XE Limited Edition, now arriving at Nissan dealerships nationwide.
Nissan created the Sentra XE Limited Edition by adding a higher level of standard features to its mid-level XE model while lowering the price tag. The new standard equipment -- air conditioning, AM/FM cassette audio system and cruise control was formerly available as an option package.
The Sentra XE Limited Edition is available in two- and four-door models, both at a manufacturer's suggested list price of $11,299 when equipped with manual transmission, and $12,024 with automatic transmission. These prices represent a savings of up to $1,041 over the former Sentra XE when equipped with the Value Option Package. In addition, Nissan is offering a special 36-month Sentra XE Limited Edition lease program.
"Today's consumers in the small sedan segment want high quality and the features of larger, more expensive sedans at a price they comfortably afford," said Earl Hesterberg, vice president and general manager, Nissan Division. "The new Sentra XE Limited Edition hits the mark in both of these critical areas with its high level of standard equipment and affordable pricing."
The Sentra XE Limited Edition is powered by a responsive 110-horsepower, 1.6 liter DOHC engine. Other functional features include a power rack-and-pinion steering system, and a four-wheel independent suspension with front and rear stabilizer bars.
A variety of other standard features contribute to the Sentra XE Limited Edition's tremendous value, including dual power remote- controlled outside mirrors, tilt steering column, dual cup holders, center console, digital quartz clock, body-color bumpers and full wheel covers. In addition, a driver's side airbag (Supplemental Restraint System) is available as an option.
The new Sentra trim level is distinguished by a "Limited Edition" decal located on both doors above the body side molding.
The Sentra XE Limited Edition will be the focus of a national television advertisement beginning today. The spot, called "Gas Truck," emphasizes the vehicle's high level of standard equipment and its $2,000 price advantage over a comparably equipped Toyota Corolla. The message: The $2,000 saved could be used to buy the first tank of gas ... as a gas truck rolls onto the scene.
