NEW MINUTE MAID AD CAMPAIGN REVEALS 'ORANGE JUICE PASSION'

HOUSTON, April 8 /PRNewswire/ -- Orange Juice Passion and Expertise -- the new Minute Maid advertising campaign -- will hit the airways Monday as the first television commercial, "Cafeteria," debuts nationwide.
The campaign is based squarely on the dedication and pride shared by the nearly 4,000 people throughout the United States who make Minute Maid brand products. "We know more and care more about orange juice than anybody else in the business," said John Weslar, marketing vice president at Coca-Cola Foods. "The extra care and effort we take are what continue to make Minute Maid the most-consumed orange juice in America. For 40 years, Minute Maid has been the number-one orange juice."
The obvious orange obsession that permeates the company's employee population is depicted with symbolism and humor in "Cafeteria." During his first lunch, a new employee quickly discovers that his coworkers are committed to the pursuit of Minute Maid orange juice excellence -- in every possible way.
"Just like the commercial says, we really do pour every ounce of ourselves into our juice," said Weslar. "Naturally, this means big benefits for consumers. In addition to providing consistent high quality, Minute Maid orange juice is an economical, great-tasting and nutritious product."
"Cafeteria" was created by Lowe & Partners. The spot was directed by Paul Weiland. Harold Karp was the copywriter and Steve Ohman the art director. Laurie Leokum produced. It premiers nationwide on April 12 and will air on local and national network and cable television.
Minute Maid orange juice is a product of Houston-based Coca-Cola Foods. Coca-Cola Foods is a Division of The Coca-Cola Company and the world's largest marketer of juices and fruit drinks. In addition to Minute Maid fruit juices, punches and lemonades, the Division also markets Hi-C fruit drinks, Five Alive citrus beverage, Bright & Early breakfast beverage and Bacardi tropical fruit mixers.
