NEW JERSEY PUBLIC RELATIONS FIRM PART OF INTERNATIONAL
TEAM SELECTED BY EUROPEAN ECONOMIC COMMUNITY
EDISON, N.J., June 4 /PRNewswire/ -- The European Commission (EC) has awarded a major communications contract to the Worldcom Group Inc., an international partnership of independent public relations firms. The Worldcom Group partner agency in New Jersey is Holt, Ross & Yulish, a leading public affairs and marketing communications company.
The Worldcom Group has been retained by the EC to assist with consumer aspects of the unified European common market involving all 12 member countries, which represents a market of 340 million people. Worldcom, which submitted its proposal in nine languages, won the contract in competition with over 25 firms from across the European Community. The presentation was led by Roger Haywood of Kestrel Communications, Worldcom's United Kingdom partner agency.
Recognizing the dynamic importance of the European Community, Worldcom has formed a European Economic Interest Grouping among its partner agencies to foster and organize activities. This effort is being led by Worldcom Group partner agencies in the Netherlands and Belgium.
"The selection by the European Commission of the Worldcom Group to help with its 12 nation consumer communications program is a powerful recognition of the unique strengths of the Worldcom partnership," said Charles Yulish, vice chairman of Holt, Ross & Yulish. "Holt, Ross & Yulish is constantly using our Worldcom Group partner agencies throughout the world to assist with client assignments, including new product introductions in the European Community."
The Worldcom Group Inc. is the world's largest network of independent public relations companies, with over 60 partner firms and more than 100 offices on five continents.
Holt, Ross & Yulish provides public relations and marketing communications research, counsel and services to firms involved in global marketing, business development and environmental issues.
