 NEW JERSEY MAYORS GET STATEWIDE EXPOSURE ON 'CLOSE-UP'
 TRENTON, N.J., Jan. 30 /PRNewswire/ -- On Monday, Feb. 3, the Cable


Television Network of New Jersey (CTN) will premiere a series that highlights local New Jersey issues. CTN's "Close-Up" will give viewers an in-depth look at local issues and experiences through interviews with New Jersey's mayors.
 "New Jersey residents are concerned about issues affecting their towns and their day-to-day lives," CTN's Executive Director Jim DeBold said. "Working with local cable systems, we are able to provide statewide recognition to these communities. 'Close-Up' is part of our continuing effort to bring public affairs programming to our viewers."
 The first edition of "Close-Up" will air Monday, Feb. 3 at 9:30 p.m. on CTN. This edition will feature West Orange Mayor Sam Spina and Mayor Raymond Mass of Shrewsbury.
 In the first edition, Rich Leonard of Suburban Cablevision talks to Mayor Spina about West Orange's downtown revitalization project and the Black Maria Film Festival that will be held on Saturday, Feb. 8.
 Diana Ridge of Storer Cable in Monmouth interviews Shrewsbury's mayor Raymond Mass about environmental and budgetary problems currently facing this growing town.
 "Close-Up" is hosted by Laura Zdroik, producer/host of CTN's successful "Hometown, New Jersey" series.
 "Close-Up" is produced by CTN, with individual segments produced by the New Jersey Cable operators. Suburban Cablevision, Storer Cable of Monmouth, Adelphia Cable, Jones Intercable, Storer Cable of Plainfield, Gateway Cable, Sammons Cable Company of Absecon, and TKR Cable of Hamilton have produced segments that will highlight their areas on future editions.
