NEW JERSEY LAW FIRM OPENS BUSINESS LINK WITH FORMER SOVIET REPUBLIC
NEWARK, N.J., Nov. 12 /PRNewswire/ -- A leading New Jersey law firm has opened a window of business opportunity in the former Soviet Union.
Sills Cummis Zuckerman Radin Tischman Epstein & Gross P.A. of Newark, one of New Jersey's top law firms, has established a strategic link with the rapidly emerging legal and business sectors in Ukraine -- the most developed of the former Soviet republics.
Sills Cummis has announced a correspondent relationship with the Ukrainian law firm of Grischenko, Frishberg & Paliashvili, a full- service firm specializing in commercial transactional law, joint ventures and other business opportunities in Ukraine. The firm is based in Kiev, Ukraine's capital.
"Ukraine is a country of 52 million people," said Clive Cummis, chairman of Sills Cummis. "Geographically, it is the second largest former Soviet republic after Russia. American businesses are actively exploring opportunities in Ukraine. And newly privatized Ukrainian enterprises are anxious to reach the American market."
Grischenko, Frishberg & Paliashvili, headquartered in the same complex with Ukraine's foreign economic activity development fund offices, maintains close relations with Ukrainian government and major industries. That allows the Kiev firm's multi-lingual principals and associates to provide the latest, most accurate information on evolving Ukrainian economic reforms -- particularly as they relate to wholly owned foreign subsidiaries and other ventures in Ukraine.
"This relationship has opened a world of opportunities for businesses in both countries" said Cummis.
Sills Cummis Zuckerman Radin Tischman Epstein & Gross, one of New Jersey's leading general practice law firms, is comprised of over 145 attorneys. Its institutional client base boast Fortune 100 companies as well as leading asset-based financial institutions, both domestic and international. The firm specializes in a variety of practice areas including corporate banking and securities, litigation, creditor's rights/insolvency, environmental, state government relations, employment and labor law, real estate, tax/financial planning, product liability and corporate defense, and white-collar criminal defense.
