NEW INVENTORY CONTROL SYSTEM ANNOUNCED BY AIRCO GASES

MURRAY HILL, N.J., July 20 /PRNewswire/ -- Airco Gases, a member of The BOC Group, and SPAN Instruments of Plano, Texas, have announced the joint development of a real-time inventory management system called SiTrax(R).
The SiTrax inventory control module integrates with SPAN's Simon(R) Site Monitoring System which combines PC-based hardware, and specialized software with an unlimited sensor input capacity to provide both real- time and historical data on materials, equipment, and production environment conditions.
Utilizing a pictorial rather than a menu-driven interface, the SiTrax module provides inventory status reports automatically or upon demand, and is structured for various alarm settings to report minimum/maximum materials on site, materials used past shelf-life, materials used too early, or processes that need new materials. The SiTrax module also has an extensive library of reports that can be used when required by external monitoring agencies, including use projections, stock-on-hand, costing, and EPA Form R.
The SiTrax module has remote site reporting capabilities that enable an extended level of vendor interface, including vendor review of site inventories in order to schedule production/shipments to coincide with inventory requirements, electronic transmittals of certification reports, and vendor verification of shipments. The remote capabilities also allow the user to monitor inventory status and alarm conditions from a remote location.
SPAN Instruments, Inc., based in Plano, is a major manufacturer of pressure instrumentation, and facility monitoring software with annual sales of more than $25 million.
Airco Gases is a member of The BOC Group, a worldwide gases, vacuum and healthcare company operating in more than 60 countries and with sales last year of more than $5.2 billion.
