NEW DIRECTOR ELECTED TO UNITED CITIES' BOARD BRENTWOOD, Tenn., April 24 /PRNewswire/ -- United Cities Gas Co.
(NASDAQ-NMS: UCIT), the Nashville-area based distributor of natural and propane gas, announced today the election of Timothy W. Triplett to the company's board of directors.
Triplett was elected to a three-year term at United Cities' annual shareholders meeting. He replaces Thomas M. Hudson, who has retired from United Cities' board after serving as a director since 1984. Triplett is currently a partner with the law firm of Blackwell Sanders Matheny Weary & Lombardi located in Overland Park, Kansas. Active in many civic and community affairs, he has received numerous honors including the 1990 Life Service Award for distinguished alumni of Southwest Baptist University, where he earned a bachelor's degree. He also graduated cum laude from University of Missouri at Columbia-School of Law. United Cities Gas Company distributes natural and propane gas to approximately 295,000 customers in nine states.
