NEW COMPANY LAUNCHES MAG FOR METAL CONSTRUCTION PROFESSIONALS.
Spiderweb, Inc. (Grayslake, IL) has begun the publication of Metalmag.com, a new publication for metal construction professionals, with an October issue. It will be published six times a year beginning in 2001 with a controlled circulation of 29,600.The magazine is being targeted to metal roofing contractors, metal building contractors, architects, building owners and manufacturers, with added circulation at four industry trade shows. Editorial focuses on "information and ideas that professions want to know," Spiderweb said, and features how-to articles and reviews of projects that highlight new techniques, as well as regular features on market news, computers and technology, and business solutions. It also includes a reference guide to current training and education programs.
Lead stories for coming issues include coverage of hotel and resort projects, school/university projects, retrofitting, church/religious facilities, equipment, municipalities, and new panel systems.
A Web site and online newsletter are designed to complement the print magazine. Both offer breaking news and information about metal construction.
