NEW BRIDGEWOOD DEVELOPMENT FEATURES CLASSIC SUBURBAN LIVING
IN A COUNTRY SETTING; BORDERED BY RECREATIONAL TRAILS
GIG HARBOR, Wash., June 16 /PRNewswire/ -- The Bridgewood Joint Venture Development Group announced today ground-clearing operations for a new triple-phase housing development on the Gig Harbor Island Peninsula.
In the first phase, Bridgewood Estates, 37 homes are planned for the platted 20 acres. The second phase, Bridgewood North, will consist of 51 homes on over 29 acres. The final phase, made up of 16 acres, will have 29 homes, for a total of 117 new homes.
One of the prominent initial builders, Lanway Homes, has been well-known throughout the Gig Harbor/Tacoma area for the past three decades. Carol Lanway said, "We typically build homes in the $300,000 to $700,000 price range. Bridgewood starts at $235,000. We set out to compact the same level of quality you would find in one of our high-end homes in a smaller square-footage plan. We believe what today's home buyer really wants is high quality, regardless of home size. We believe that Bridgewood Estates will give the home buyer a real sense of pride at a reasonable price."
The Peninsula is famous for its spectacular rural beauty. The Bridgewood development will maintain this identity in its natural setting, while delivering high-quality urban living design and comfort.
Bridgewood has also been working with the Pierce County Parks & Recreation Department in the development of 3.1 miles, or 16,400 square feet, of recreational trails which will border Bridgewood. "It's an easy commute, being situated as the very first exit of the Tacoma Narrows Bridge," said Richard Clauson of Spot Real Estate. "People would love to be able to live in a quaint San Juan village type of environment, but the commute is unrealistic. Bridgewood provides both of those needs."
