NEW AUDIT OFFICER JOINS FEDERAL RESERVE BANK OF SAN FRANCISCO

 SAN FRANCISCO, July 1 /PRNewswire/ -- S. Jean Hinrichs has joined the audit division of the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco as an assistant vice president after relocating to the Bay Area from Southern California.
 In the newly created position, Hinrichs will be responsible for the oversight of non-electronic data processing audit activities for operations in the home office of the 12th Federal Reserve District which serves the nine western states including Alaska and Hawaii. She reports directly to General Auditor Robert Gatchell.
 Hinrichs has more than 12 years of professional audit experience. In her last position as audit manager at Unocal Corp. in Los Angeles, she developed and implemented a number of audit programs such as a productivity measurement system, a quality assurance program and an internal audit training program.
 She is an honors graduate with both a bachelor's degree and master's degree in business administration from San Francisco State University. Her professional audit certifications include a certified internal auditor from the Institute of Internal Auditors and a certified fraud examiner from the National Association of Certified Fraud Examiners.
 Hinrichs is a native of Ohio.
