 NEW ASBESTOS MDL DESKBOOK LISTS ALL MAJOR
 PLEADINGS IN FIRST YEAR OF COMPLEX LITIGATION
 SPRINGFIELD, Pa., July 14 /PRNewswire/ -- An alphabetical listing of all orders and major pleadings in the past year of the Asbestos Products Liability Litigation MDL proceedings in federal court in Philadelphia was published today, marking the first year of the landmark litigation.
 The pleadings are listed by subject and by case name in the Asbestos MDL Deskbook. The deskbook is being sent to subscribers of the twice- monthly Asbestos Products Liability Litigation MDL Reporter.
 The Judicial Panel on Multidistrict Litigation transferred 26,639 asbestos personal in injury cases to the Eastern District of Pennsylvania on July 29, 1991, for consolidated pretrial proceedings. The number of transferred cases has now grown to 32,000.
 The Deskbook covers subjects from Administrative Orders to Writs of Prohibition. A separate case index lists cases from Abbott to Yerrnan. The Deskbook also contains a listing of attorneys and their clients who took part in proceedings before the MDL Panel.
 The Asbestos Products Liability Litigation MDL Reported is published twice monthly by McGuire Publications of Springfield, Pa. Each issue summarizes the latest developments in the litigation. Full texts of orders and key pleadings are reprinted along with updated docket sheets. The entire set of back issues from Aug. 12, 1991, is available.
