NETWORK SYSTEMS NAMES NEW VICE PRESIDENTS
 OF ENGINEERING AND MANUFACTURING
MINNEAPOLIS, June 24 /PRNewswire/ -- Network Systems(R) Corporation (NASDAQ: NSCO) has named two new members of its senior management team. Ronald M. Groenke is the new vice president, engineering, and Roger E. Weingarth is the new vice president, manufacturing.
Groenke joins Network Systems after a 23-year career with NCR's Network Products Division. Most recently he was manager of the Communications Processor Systems business unit, with overall responsibility for the design and development of COMTEN's successful line of communication front end processors. He also has extensive familiarity with IDM's SNA (Systems Network Architecture), an important future thrust for Network Systems.
Weingarth also comes from NCR's Network Products Division, where he was responsible for Manufacturing Operations and Quality Assurance. He installed Just in Time manufacturing techniques and Total Quality Control methods that significantly improved quality and substantially reduced inventory levels and product lead times. He also directed the ISO 9000 certification of the Network Products Division.
Michael J. Fitzpatrick, president and CEO, said, "We are very pleased to have these two talented and experienced executives join Network Systems. They form part of the management team that will take the company to the next level in size and performance."
