NETMANAGE 3270 EMULATOR TO SHIP WITH MICROSOFT'S SNA SERVER.

NetManage, Inc. (Nasdaq:NETM), Cupertino, Calif., a leading supplier of eBusiness access and application integration solutions, has announced that its NetManage 3270 Terminal Emulator will ship with Microsoft's future SNA Server codenamed "Babylon."

The NetManage 3270 Terminal Emulator provides Microsoft customers with 3270 access as well the ability to run multiple 3270 sessions on a Microsoft Babylon Server client.

"We are pleased to extend the capabilities of Microsoft's industry leading SNA gateway through our best-of-breed host access solutions," said Peter Havart-Simkin, senior vice president of strategic development at NetManage. "With NetManage PC-to-mainframe products, Microsoft customers have easy access to corporate information anytime, anywhere."

"By including the NetManage 3270 Terminal Emulator with our Host Integration Solution code-named `Babylon,' we are providing our customers a valuable, cost-effective tool for maximizing their existing enterprise computing infrastructure," said Chris Olson, Microsoft group product manager.

The 3270 applet will be included with all shipping versions of Microsoft's future SNA Server product code-named "Babylon." The 3270 Applet features a direct hotlink to NetManage's web sites to provide customers quick access to valuable product information, and to enable customers to easily upgrade to NetManage's full-featured ViewNow Mainframe 3270 solution or to NetManage's market-leading Rumba 3270.

ViewNow Mainframe provides Windows 95/98/NT and Windows 2000 users an extensive set of features for the IBM mainframe, including robust emulation capabilities, printer support, and file transfer. ViewNow Mainframe also includes seamless Windows integration and context-sensitive help to aid mainframe access for all users. The ViewNow 3270 Quick Connect component of ViewNow Mainframe provides fast connections and supports both SNA and TCP/IP access protocols. ViewNow Mainframe also includes NetManage's unique patented real-time support technology and is part of NetManage's eN2000 eBusiness Framework.

RUMBA for the Mainframe is now also available as an upgrade for Microsoft SNA Server and Babylon Server users by virtue of NetManage's recently completed acquisition of Wall Data -- the leading provider of mainframe emulation products for IBM users. RUMBA provides Windows 95/98/NT and Windows 2000 users with a comprehensive IBM connection package with such features as bookmarks, LPR and LPD line printer utilities, and includes ODBC driver for Mainframe DB2 databases (RUMBA DRDA).
