NESTLE USA ANNOUNCES CHANGES IN EXECUTIVE STAFF

 GLENDALE, Calif., Dec. 13 /PRNewswire/ -- Nestle USA announced today organizational changes among its executive staff, effective Jan. 1, 1994.
 Joe Weller, president and chief operating officer, Nestle USA, has been appointed chief executive officer, Nestle USA. In 1989, Weller was appointed managing director and chief executive officer of Nestle Australia Ltd., headquartered in Sydney, Australia. After two years, he returned to the Nestle USA headquarters on Jan. 1, 1992, in the role of president and chief operating officer. Weller has spent his entire career of 25 years with Carnation and Nestle. He succeeds Timm Crull, current chief executive officer for Nestle USA, who will remain chairman of Nestle USA and executive vice president of Nestle S.A., responsible for North American Operations.
 Additionally, Tony Martino, executive vice president and chief financial officer, Nestle USA, announced his retirement. He will be succeeded by Mario Corti, who joined Nestle USA in 1990 as senior vice president and chief administrative officer. Before joining Nestle, Corti served as ambassador and delegate of the Swiss government for trade agreements.
 Martin Holford, senior vice president of Technical Services, Nestle USA, has been promoted to the position of senior vice president, Industrial Operations. New areas of responsibility for him will include Purchasing, Distribution and Information Technology. Holford began his career with Nestle U.K. in 1970 and was most recently technical manager for Canada.
 Nestle USA Inc. headquartered in Glendale, is a family of six U.S.- based companies with 23,000 employees and more than $7.4 billion in annual sales.
