NERCO COAL ANNOUNCES NEW CONTRACT
NERCO COAL ANNOUNCES NEW CONTRACT PORTLAND, Ore., Jan. 17 /PRNewswire/ -- NERCO Inc.
(NYSE: NER, Toronto) today announced its coal subsidiary, NERCO Coal Corp., St. Louis, has entered into a one-year agreement with City Public Service of San Antonio to supply low-sulfur coal from the Antelope Mine located in central Wyoming. The agreement calls for a delivery of approximately one million tons during 1992. Coal deliveries will be made by the Union Pacific Railroad.
The Antelope Mine is one of NERCO's large western coal operations located in the Powder River Basin. The mine produced a record 5.4 million tons of coal in 1991. Antelope's customer base includes domestic power plants and a Spanish utility. NERCO is a diversified natural resource company with major interests in low-sulfur coal, oil and natural gas, and precious metals.
