NEPF sets deadline for newsletter journalism competition. (Editing).
Entrants need not be members of NEPA.
There are seven categories of awards, with a $500 David Swit Journalism Prize given to the First Place winner in each category. In addition, there will be Second and Third Place winners awarded, as well as Honorable Mentions.
Winners will be announced at NEPA's annual International Newsletter & Specialized Information Conference luncheon on June 3, 2002.
The categories are:
* Best Spot-News or Exclusive Single-News Story
* Best Investigative Reporting
* Best Interpretive or Analytical Reporting
* Best Instruction Reporting
* Best Financial Advisory
* Best Single-Topic Newsletter
* Best Looseleaf Publication.
A $75 entry fee must accompany each entry. Jury chair is Jim Marshall, NL/NL senior correspondent.
