NEC Display Solutions Launches SpectraViewA Reference 241.

NEC Display Solutions launches its SpectraViewA Reference 241, the first model from the company's next generation high-end desktop display range for colour-critical digital image processing, professional media design and print workflow applications."The Spectraview Reference 241 sets the benchmark with its feature-rich display calibration and highly accurate colour reproduction," said Ian Gobey, the General Manager of NEC Display Solutions, Middle East, as he explains NEC SpectraView range is tailored for colour-critical industries where precise detail and accuracy is paramount. "This high-end display offers powerful in-plane switching performance and 3D LUTs feature that can deliver uncompromised colour reproduction, sharpness and fidelity." According to Gobey, the new SpectraViewA series will be enhanced through 2010 with additional 23-inch, 27-inch and 30-inch models in line.NEC's Spectraview Reference 241 is hardware-calibratable allowing maximum image quality and stability. The new model's, wide-format LC display offers powerful 10-bit P-IPS* performance that covers 98 per cent of the AdobeRGB colour space. In addition, the 3D LUT for precise colour space emulation and 14-bit LUT** for each RGB channel provides outstanding colour control and gamma correction. NEC's Digital Uniformity Control (ColorComp) and 'Backlight Ageing Control' ensure controlled and peak performance throughout the entire lifecycle.The SpectraViewA Reference 241 is equipped with IPS technology -- designed specifically for colour-critical applications such as pre-press, soft proofing, DTP and professional photography. With a 178-degree viewing angle and minimal visible colour shift, the P-IPS technology offers greater viewing stability than any other LCD panel technology and is the technology of choice for users who care about colour accuracy.In addition to its faultless colour precision, 360 cd/mA brightness and 1,920 x 1,200 pixel resolution, the wide-format LCD offers a range of features guaranteed to increase productivity, such as a picture-in-picture technology. A future-proof DisplayPort and two DVI-D interfaces as well as a programmable USB hub assure maximum connectivity to multiple platforms such as Windows, Mac or Linux.
