NCR ANNOUNCES THREE OFFICER APPOINTMENTS

 DAYTON, Ohio, July 21 /PRNewswire/ -- NCR Corporation, an AT&T Company (NYSE: T), announced today three officer appointments that further strengthen the company's commitment to worldwide customer satisfaction.
 Alok Mohan, formerly vice president, NCR Workstation Products Division, was named vice president, Strategic Planning and Controller , a new position. Michael W. Morrissey, formerly vice president, NCR Microelectronic Products Division succeeds Mohan as vice president, Workstation Products Division. H. Gene Patterson, formerly general manager, NCR Peripheral Products Division, succeeds Morrissey as vice president, Microelectronic Products Division. The appointments are effective immediately.
 In announcing the appointments, R. Elton White, NCR president, said, "These individuals bring significant expertise to their new roles, which will position us to address customer needs better than our competitors."
 Alok Mohan is responsible for NCR's strategic planning, corporate financial planning, worldwide reporting and analysis functions. He reports to John Giering, senior vice president, Strategic Planning and NCR's chief financial officer.
 "Alok's unique combination of strengths in the areas of strategic planning, business planning and development, marketing and finance will be invaluable as we develop the shared measures and financial initiatives critical to aligning us to better serve our customers," said Giering.
 Mohan joined NCR in 1972 in Corporate Finance and Administration and has held a number of related positions, including assistant vice president Strategic Planning and Marketing Analysis. In 1988, he was appointed head of NCR's Product Marketing and Strategic Planning function.
 Michael W. Morrissey is responsible for the future direction and growth of NCR's workstation business and operations. NCR's workstation products include innovative portable notepad and notebook computers and powerful desktop workstations and servers. The Division employs approximately 1,350 people worldwide and has operations in Augsburg, Germany and in Clemson, S.C., and Naperville, Ill. He reports to Thomas A. Mays, senior vice president, NCR General Purpose Products Group.
 Morrissey joined NCR in 1969. He was appointed general manager of NCR's Microelectronic Products Division facility in Ft. Collins, Colorado, in 1980, and became vice president of NCR's entire MPD business in 1991.
 H. Gene Patterson is responsible for continuing the worldwide development of NCR's microelectronics business. The division develops, manufactures and markets a wide-range of semiconductor products, including SCSI (Small Computer Systems Interface) chips and ASIC (Application Specific Integrated Circuit) devices. NCR is the world's leading supplier of SCSI products and mixed-signal cell-based ASICs. The division employs approximately 1,325 people and has facilities in Colorado Springs and Ft. Collins, Colo., and Utrecht, Netherlands. He reports to Thomas A. Mays, senior vice president, NCR General Purpose Products Group.
 The Peripheral Products Division, located in Wichita, Kan., and formerly headed by Patterson will become a business unit within the Microelectronics Products Division. This alignment leverages the integration of microelectronics components into NCR's peripheral product lineup. The division is a leading provider of disk-array technology which includes related chip sets, circuit boards, subsystems and integrated disk arrays. The division employs approximately 335 people in Wichita.
 Patterson joined NCR in 1986 and held management positions within NCR's Microelectronics Products Division and Integrated Systems Group. Before being appointed general manager of Peripheral Products Division in 1992, Patterson was general manager of NCR's Printer Division in Ithaca, NY.
