NCNB, C&S OFFICES CLOSED IN HURRICANE-AFFECTED COUNTIES
TAMPA, Fla., Aug. 23 /PRNewswire/ -- NCNB and C&S branches and all

subsidiary offices in Broward, Charlotte, Collier, Dade, Lee, Monroe, and Palm Beach counties will be closed Monday, because of Hurricane Andrew's threat to the area. Marco Island offices also will be closed Monday.
"We want all of our associates to concentrate on their safety and the safety of their families," said Gene Taylor, president of NCNB Florida and president of soon-to-be NationsBank Florida.
"We will continue to review the weather situation throughout the day and night and make adjustments in our plans as necessary."
Automated teller machines (ATMs) in the affected counties will be kept up and running as long as possible.
"We recognize the demand for cash in these areas is high and we are resupplying our machines on an accelerated basis," Taylor said. "Customers who have visited an empty ATM may want to return later or try another NCNB or C&S ATM."
NCNB Florida and C&S Florida will become NationsBank later this fall. NationsBank Corporation (NYSE: NB) is the fourth largest bank holding company in the United States with $111 billion in assets and full service banks in nine states and the District of Columbia.
