NCEW marks end of Everett era. (Convention Elections/Awards).

A celebration of the Everetts lauded Cora, Tom, and Tomi for their long and devoted service to NCEW at the convention.

Beginning with a sterling performance by the Grammy Award-winning Fairfield Four, the evening was a tribute to their loyalty and nurturing of the organization with loving and meticulous care.

A video produced by Neil Heinen featured remarks and reminiscences from a number of NCEW stalwarts. Historian and past president Ann Merriman presented a gold charm of the original NCEW logo to Cora and a similar pendant to Tomi. Cora and Tomi also received framed posters with a collage of photographs chronicling their years with NCEW.

All three Everetts received honorary life memberships in NCEW from Chuck Stokes, chair of the Professional Committee. The citation described Cora, who has been associated with NCEW for over 40 years, as "our den mother, our institutional memory, and the heart and soul of NCEW."
