NCA passes two organic bills ratifying two conventions with Turkey and Belgium.

BARDO (TAP) - At a plenary session held, on Monday, the National Constituent Assembly (NCA) passed two organic bills ratifying two conventions with Turkey and Belgium.

The first bill nA73 dating back to 2013, provides for the ratification of social security convention between Tunisia and Belgium, concluded March 28, 2013 inTunis, to replace the convention signed, November 1976. The bill was approved by 134 votes.

The new convention consecrates the equality of rights between the nationals of hosting countries whether for Tunisians residing in Belgium or the Belgians living in Tunisia.

The second bill nA72 of 2013, voted in favour by 132 deputies, provides for the ratification of the convention signed, May 28, 2013 inAnkara, between the Tunisian and Turkish governments in the social security field.

The bill consecrates equality of rights between the hosting countries' nationals and migrant workers. It benefits several social and professional categories.

Social Affairs Minister Ahmed Ammar Youmbaii said on the occasion, that Tunisia had concluded 12 conventions in the social security field covering 90pc of Tunisians working abroad.
