NBWA announces dates for the 1992 legislative conference in Washington

The National Beer Wholesalers Association announced its annual 1992 joint NBWA/Brewers Legislative Conference is scheduled to be held April 5-8 at Washington, D.C.'s Hyatt Regency.

According to NBWA's newly-announced chairman, Kirby Lawlis, "This year's goal is to have one wholesaler from every Congressional District in the country in attendance. No one carries a greater voice with a member of Congress than one of his or her own constituents."

Lawlis added that through the meeting, the NBWA will convey the message to Congress that it will no longer tolerate exclusion from federally-funded conferences and forums aimed at reducing the abuse and underage consumption of alcoholic beverages.

"Since some in government still haven't gotten the message," Lawlis continued, "this year's theme will be the same as last year's: |We Are Part of the Solution.' And this year, with the help of more of our members, every congressman and senator will know it."
