 NBD TO REDEEM SUBORDINATED DEBENTURES
 DETROIT, Sept. 21 /PRNewswire/ -- NBD Bancorp (NYSE: NBD) today


called for the redemption of all of its outstanding 8.25 percent Convertible Subordinated Debentures Due 2010, at a redemption price of 102.475 percent of the principal amount, plus accrued interest to the redemption date of Dec. 15, 1992.
 At Aug. 31, 1992, $12 million of the principal amount of the debentures was outstanding, held by 33 registered holders.
 Holders may, instead of redeeming the debentures, convert them into NBD Bancorp common stock at the conversion price of $12.74 per share or 78.493 shares per $1,000 principal amount of the debentures. However, conversion must take place before the close of business on Dec. 8, 1992, the fifth business day preceding the redemption date.
 Debenture holders who wish to convert and still be entitled to the semi-annual interest payment due Dec. 15 must convert after the Dec. 1, 1992, interest payment record date and prior to the close of business on Dec. 8, 1992.
