 NBD ADDS TWO DIRECTORS, ELECTS EXECUTIVE OFFICERS
 DETROIT, Oct. 19 /PRNewswire/ -- NBD Bancorp (NYSE: NBD) today


elected James K. Baker and Thomas M. Miller to its board of directors for a term ending in 1995, bringing the number of NBD directors to 20.
 The acquisition agreement with INB Financial Corporation called for two of its board members to be named to the NBD board. The acquisition was completed on Oct. 15, 1992.
 Mr. Baker, 60, is chairman and chief executive officer of Arvin Industries, Inc., of Columbus, Ind. Arvin is a global company whose products are sold in more than 100 countries. It had 1991 sales of $1.7 billion.
 Mr. Baker joined Arvin in 1955, became its president and chief executive officer in 1981, and its chairman and chief executive officer in 1986. He received an A.B. degree in physics and mathematics from DePauw University in 1953 and an M.B.A. degree from Harvard University in 1958.
 He is a member of the board or a trustee of Arvin Industries, PSI Energy, Inc., DePauw University, where he serves as vice chairman, the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, where he serves as chairman of the executive committee, NASA Commercial Programs Advisory Committee and Northwestern University, among others. He is a native of Wabash, Ind.
 Mr. Miller, 62, chairman of NBD Indiana, Inc., was also elected vice chairman of NBD Bancorp. NBD Indiana, Inc. operates NBD's banks in the state of Indiana. Prior to NBD's acquisition of INB Financial last week, Mr. Miller served as INB's chairman and chief executive officer. He joined Indiana National Bank in 1954, becoming its president and chief operating officer in 1976 and chairman and chief executive officer in 1979. In 1981, he was named chairman, president and chief executive officer of INB Financial Corporation, the bank's parent company.
 A native of Corydon, Ind., he earned a B.S. degree from the Indiana University School of Business in 1952. In addition, Mr. Miller is an alumnus of the Graduate School of Banking at the University of Wisconsin and holds an honorary Doctor of Laws degree from Butler University.
 His directorships include State Life Insurance Company; Indianapolis Water Company and its parent company, IWC Resources; Boehring, Mannheim, U.S. Holdings, Inc.; Indianapolis Power and Light and its parent company, IPALCO; the Ecomonic Club of Indianapolis, and the Indiana University Foundation.
 Andrew J. Paine, Jr., president of NBD Indiana, Inc., was elected executive vice president of NBD Bancorp. Mr. Paine was president and chief operating officer of INB National Bank and vice chairman of INB Financial Corporation prior to INB's merger with NBD Bancorp. He joined Indiana National Bank in 1961 and became its president in 1979, and became vice chairman of the holding company in 1981.
 He is a native of Chicago and holds a B.A. from DePauw University and an M.B.A. from Indiana University. He is a director of the American Bankers Association and a member of the Association of Reserve City Bankers. Mr. Paine serves on the United Negro College Fund Advisory Council and the Indiana Repertory Theatre Board, and is a director of the Midwest U.S.-Japan Association and president of the Japan-America Society of Indiana.
