NBC REACHES RETRANSMISSION CONSENT AGREEMENTS WITH THREE MSO'S

 NEW YORK, Sept. 29 /PRNewswire/ -- National Broadcasting Co. Inc. (NBC) today announced that it has reached agreements with Colony Communications Inc., Newhouse Broadcasting Co. and Telecable Corp. that grants these cable operators the right to continue carrying the signals of NBC-owned and operated television stations on their cable systems. Under the multiyear agreements, each cable operator has agreed to renew and extend its carriage of CNBC, NBC's business and talk cable channel, and to distribute "America's Talking," a new cable programming service to be produced by NBC.
 Colony Communications owns cable systems that serve 600,000 subscribers nationwide, including nearly 300,000 in the NBC-owned television station markets of New York, Los Angeles and Miami. Newhouse Broadcasting Co. owns Metrovision, Vision Cable Communications and Newchannels Corp., which serve 1.3 million cable subscribers nationwide, including 200,000 in the NBC-owned television station markets of New York, Chicago and Washington, D.C. Telecable owns systems serving 645,000 subscribers nationwide, including 30,000 in Miami.
 In the Los Angeles market, Colony Communications operates as Colony Communications, Copley Colony and King Videocable, serving 157,026 subscribers (nearly 6 percent of Los Angeles ADI cable households) in the following communities: Banning, Cypress, La Palma, Costa Mesa, Lomita, Wilmington, Lakewood, Burbank, Newhall, Riverside County, Lake Elsinore, Sylmar and Tujunga.
 NBC has reached retransmission consent deals with numerous other cable operators, including the three largest: Tele-Communications Inc. (TCI), Time Warner and Continental.
