 NATIONSBANK CORPORATION BOARD OF DIRECTORS ANNOUNCED
 CHARLOTTE, N.C., Dec. 12 /PRNewswire/ -- Members of the NationsBank


Corporation board of directors were announced today by Bennett Brown and Hugh McColl.
 NationsBank is the company to be formed by the merger of NCNB Corp. (NYSE: NCB) and C&S/Sovran Corp. (NYSE: CVN), scheduled for completion by December 31. Brown, chairman and chief executive officer of C&S/Sovran, will serve as chairman of the new company. McColl, chairman and chief executive officer of NCNB Corp., will be president and chief executive officer of NationsBank.
 Eleven current directors of C&S/Sovran will be added to the current NCNB board to create the NationsBank board. A director of NCNB Texas Corp., a subsidiary of NCNB Corp., also will join the NationsBank board. The additional board positions were approved by directors of both institutions last July as part of the merger agreement.

 Current C&S/Sovran directors joining the NationsBank board, in addition to Brown, are: Ronald W. Allen, chairman and chief executive officer, Delta Air Lines, Inc., Atlanta; William W. Berry, chairman of the board, Dominion Resources, Inc., Richmond; R. Eugene Cartledge, chairman and chief executive officer, Union Camp Corp., Wayne, N.J.; L.L. Gellerstedt, Jr. chairman, Beers Construction Co., Atlanta; Arnold B. McKinnon, chairman, president and chief executive officer, Norfolk Southern Corp., Norfolk.
 Buck Mickel, chairman, R.S.I. Corp., chairman-emeritus, Fluor Daniel, Inc., Greenville, S.C.; B. Franklin Skinner, chairman and chief executive officer, BellSouth Telecommunications, Atlanta; John W. Snow, chairman, president and chief executive officer, CSX Corp., Richmond; William W. Sprague, Jr., president and chief executive officer, Savannah Foods and Industries, Inc., Savannah, Ga.; E. Craig Wall, Jr., president, Canal Industries, Inc., Conway, S.C.
 In addition, NCNB Texas Corp. Director John J. Murphy will join the NationsBank board. Murphy is chairman, president and chief executive officer of Dresser Industries, Inc., Dallas.
 NationsBank directors from the NCNB board, in addition to McColl, are: William M. Barnhardt, chairman and chief executive officer, Southern Webbing Mills, Inc., Charlotte; Thomas M. Belk, president, Belk Stores Services, Inc., Charlotte; Wilbur L. Carter, Jr., retired president, Southern Life Insurance Co., Greensboro; Charles W. Coker, chairman and chief executive officer, Sonoco Products Co., Hartsville, S.C.
 H.L. Culbreath, retired chairman and chief executive officer, Teco Energy, Inc., Tampa; Alan T. Dickson, president, Ruddick Corp., Charlotte; W. Frank Dowd, Jr., chairman of the executive committee, Charlotte Pipe and Foundry Co., Charlotte; A.L. Ellis, senior chairman, NCNB National Bank of Florida, Tarpon Springs; W.W.  As previously confirmed, W.W. Johnson will serve as chairman of the Executive Committee of the NationsBank board.
 When the merger is completed, NationsBank will be the fourth largest banking company in the U.S. with $118 billion in assets and full-service banking officers in nine states and the District of Columbia.
