NATIONAL WHEELCHAIR BASKETBALL PLAYOFFS COME TO PHILADELPHIA; ROHM AND HAAS COMPANY IS MAJOR CONTRIBUTOR

 PHILADELPHIA, March 12 /PRNewswire/ -- This weekend, more than 60 athletes will participate in the National Wheelchair Eastern Basketball Playoffs at the Carousel House, Belmont Avenue and North Concourse in Fairmount Park, Philadelphia.
 On Saturday, March 13, and Sunday, March 14, the games will begin at 11 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. And on Sunday, March 14, 3:30 p.m., Mayor Edward G. Rendell will help present the championship trophy to the winning team, who will move ahead to the finals next month. The Eagles cheerleaders will also be on-hand for the presentation.
 The tournament is sponsored by Rohm and Haas Company and is hosted by the Delaware Valley Wheelchair Athletic Association and the City of Philadelphia Recreation Department. The association's chairman, Dan Sullivan, has been a wheelchair athlete for more than 30 years and was inducted into the Basketball Hall of Fame in 1988.
