NATIONAL MEDIA CORPORATION NAMES SANDFORD L. FOX TO BOARD OF DIRECTORS
 PHILADELPHIA, March 9 /PRNewswire/ -- National Media Corporation (NYSE: NM) today said Sandford L. Fox, civic leader and chairman of Fox- Morris Executive Search, based in Philadelphia, with offices coast-to- coast, has been named to the board of directors of National Media Corporation.
 John J. Turchi Jr., chairman of National Media, producers and distributors of international commercial television programming, said Fox would join the present six-member board of the company immediately.
 "Mr. Fox brings to National Media a reservoir of management experience and corporate skills which will be valuable in helping us achieve our ambitious goals for the future," Turchi said.
 National Media, which is traded on the New York Stock Exchange, had record sales of $100 million during its current fiscal year. It is a leading U.S. maker of television infomercials and recently entered the European marketplace with a variety of shows.
 Fox serves as chairman of the Philadelphia Civil Service Commission, which is charged with enacting the regulations governing the overwhelming majority of the city's 24,000 employees. He holds a degree from Penn State University and has received that school's "Outstanding Alumni Award." Fox is also a member of Philadelphia Presidents Organization and World Business Council.
