 NATIONAL MEDIA CORPORATION ISSUES ANNOUNCEMENT
 PHILADELPHIA, Feb. 28 /PRNewswire/ -- National Media Corporation


(NYSE: NM) announced today it has entered into a Settlement Agreement which has been submitted to the court in the securities class action and derivative lawsuits pending against the company in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania.
 National Media has entered into this Stipulation of Settlement solely for the purposes of avoiding further legal expenses and avoiding the distraction of litigation.
 John J. Turchi Jr., chairman and chief executive officer, stated that National Media's insurance carrier and certain individual defendants are participating in the settlement and that the company has previously reserved amounts sufficient to satisfy its financial obligations under the settlement, as reported in the company's Form 10-Q for the quarter ended Dec. 31, 1991.
