NATIONAL DATACOMPUTER, INC. REPORTS LOSS FOR THIRD QUARTER
BILLERICA, Mass., Nov. 22 /PRNewswire/ -- Gerald S. Eilberg, chief financial officer of National Datacomputer, Inc. (NDIC) today announced the results of its third quarter ended Sept. 30, 1991.
Eilberg reported that revenues for the quarter were $719,673 with a net loss of $200,416. This compares favorably with the same period in 1990 which showed revenues of $615,360 and a net loss of $426,640.
The nine month figures for 1991 were $2,597,179 in revenues and a net loss of $132,731. These figures represent a dramtic improvement vs. the same period in 1990 which had revenues of $2,129,174 and a net loss of $1,410,216.
Eilberg said that "those who have followed our company since we went public are well aware that the third quarter has always been a problem. For example, the third quarter for years 1987, 1988, 1989 and 1990 have shown losses of $667,789, $435,487, $574,782 and $426,640, respectively. Although the loss of $200,416 in 1991 might, therefore, be considered an achievement, any loss tightens the already tight cash situation."
Norman Mackinnon, president of NDIC remarked that "so far in 1991 we have proven two things: how to sustain a company without any working capital and that the business prospects for our products have never been as good. If we find a way to deal with our cash problem, our progress in 1992 will continue to be dramatic."
National Datacomputer, Inc. designs, manufacturers, markets and services rugged, programmable handheld computers, data collection devices and peripherals. NDIC is also a leading developer of software solutions, such as its Route Service System, for people who need the power of a PC in the field rather than at their desk. The company's shares are traded over-the-counter.
