 NATIONAL COMPUTER SYSTEMS APPOINTS ARNESON TO NEW POSITION
 MINNEAPOLIS, Sept. 8 /PRNewswire/ -- National Computer Systems, Inc. (NCS) (NASDAQ: NLCS) today announced the appointment of Phillip W. Arneson as president, NCS/Financial. NCS/Financial, a division of National Computer Systems, is a leading supplier of asset management software for the trust departments of regional, money center and international banks. Arneson had been serving as senior vice president, Financial Systems.
 Charles W. Oswald, chairman of the board, stated, "Phil Arneson has lead this organization through a successful business and product development phase. As NCS/Financial now moves into a stronger growth mode, it is important that responsibility for management of our financial market activities be clearly focused and moved closer to our customers."
