NATIONAL COMMERCIAL BANK REACHES AGREEMENT FOR AMENDED PLAN FOR VOLUNTARY LIQUIDATION OF NEW YORK CITY BRANCH OFFICE

NATIONAL COMMERCIAL BANK REACHES AGREEMENT FOR AMENDED PLAN
FOR VOLUNTARY LIQUIDATION OF NEW YORK CITY BRANCH OFFICE
NEW YORK, July 30 /PRNewswire/ -- The National Commercial Bank ("NCB") announced today that it had reached an agreement with the Office of Comptroller of the Currency for an amended plan for the voluntary liquidation of NCB's federal branch office in New York City. NCB requested that the OCC approve the amended plan because the liquidation was proceeding faster than it originally expected.
Under the amended plan, the final closure of the branch would occur within 60 days of the commencement of liquidation, instead of the 90-day period outlined in the previous plan of liquidation. As a result, there is a revised, earlier timetable for creditors of the branch to file their claims. Any creditors who have not previously notified the branch of their claim should file their claims with Camille A. Chebeir, c/o The National Commercial Bank, 245 Park Ave., New York, NY 10167. Copies of claims should also be sent to the Comptroller of the Currency, International Banking and Finance Department, 250 E Street, S.W., Washington, DC 20219, by Aug. 10, 1992.
