NATIONAL CITY TRUST COMPANY ELECTS ELLEN J. ABRAMS PRESIDENT

 CLEVELAND, Nov. 18 /PRNewswire/ -- National City Corporation (NYSE: NCC), a $30 billion bank holding company headquartered in Cleveland, announced today the election of Ellen J. Abrams to president of its Florida-based subsidiary, National City Trust Company. Abrams succeeds Gary L. Galbreath, who was recently named executive vice president and trust location head at National City Bank, Columbus, Ohio.
 "Under Ellen's leadership, I am confident that National City Trust will continue to grow and bring value to our customers, shareholders and the community," said Charles W. Hall, head of National City Corporation's Trust Business Board. "Ellen epitomizes the dedication to customer service, community involvement and superior sales and marketing management that are the underlying principles of our company."
 As president, Abrams, 50, will direct and manage National City Trust Company's investment management, personal trust, and estate administration services in West Palm Beach, Naples and Vero Beach.
 Abrams previously served as vice president and senior trust officer of the company, with responsibilities also in business development and customer financial planning. She was also the manager of the West Palm Beach office.

 Abrams joined National City Trust in November of 1986 as assistant vice president and trust officer. In June of 1987, she was promoted to vice president and trust officer. She was promoted to her most recent position in June of 1989. In addition, Abrams was elected to the board of directors of the company in June of this year.
 Abrams is a native of New Haven, Conn. She is a graduate of Wellesley College (Phi Beta Kappa) and Yale Law School.
 Abrams is a member of the Florida Bar Association. She is also a member of the Professional Advisory Subcommittee of the Foundation of the Jewish Federation of Palm Beach County and serves as co-chairman of the Liaison with Corporate Fiduciaries Committee of the Real Property, Probate and Trust Law Section of The Florida Bar.
