 NATIONAL CITY CORPORATION ANNOUNCES NEW ORGANIZATIONAL
 STRUCTURE IN ITS MARKETING AREA
 CLEVELAND, July 29 /PRNewswire/ -- National City Corporation (NYSE: NCC) today announced that Anthony N. McEwen, vice president and director, retail product development, and Mary H. Griffith, senior vice president and director, corporate communications, will assume additional responsibilities in its marketing area.
 McEwen will assume additional responsibilities for corporate-wide retail product management, new product development (R&D), and product- related research. As the director of retail product development, he will continue to have responsibility for branch automation and merger- related product standardization. McEwen will continue to report to William E. MacDonald III, head of the corporation's retail business board and president of National City Bank.
 Griffith will assume additional responsibilities for corporate advertising and advertising-related research. She will oversee the development and implementation of National City's common identity program, image and standard product advertising, supervision of National City's corporate advertising agency, and the development and implementation of advertising-related research. She will continue to manage corporate communications activities. Griffith will continue to report to Edward B. Brandon, chairman and CEO, National City Corporation, with shared reporting responsibility to William E. MacDonald III. Profile of Anthony N. McEwen
 Anthony N. McEwen has been vice president, retail product development, of National City Corporation since 1988. He has also served as president of National City Life Insurance Company since 1986.
 McEwen joined National City in 1978 as marketing officer of BancOhio National Bank in Columbus, Ohio. He became vice president, product management division, of BancOhio National Bank in 1983.
 Prior to working for BancOhio National Bank, McEwen was a retail marketing officer at Citizens Fidelity Bank in Louisville, Ky. from 1973 to 1977.
 McEwen received a B.S. degree in marketing from the University of Louisville in 1973. In 1985, he graduated from the University of Wisconsin's Graduate School of Banking. McEwen currently serves as a director of Plus System, Inc. and Money Station, Inc.
 A native of Louisville, Ky., McEwen now resides in Medina, Ohio with his wife Vicki. He and his wife have a son and daughter. Profile of Mary H. Griffith
 Mary H. Griffith has been vice president and director, corporate communications, of National City Corporation since 1990. She previously served as senior vice president and director, public relations, at First National Bank of Louisville, which National City acquired in 1988.
