 SENIOR VICE PRESIDENT, CORPORATE PUBLIC AFFAIRS
 CLEVELAND, Feb. 4 /PRNewswire/ -- National City Bank announced the promotion of Danny H. Cameron to senior vice president, corporate public affairs.
 Cameron, 49, also serves as president of National City Community Development Corporation, a subsidiary of National City Corporation (NYSE: NCC).
 Creating quality, affordable housing is the primary concern of National City Community Development Corporation (NCCDC). Begun in 1982, NCCDC has participated in projects totaling more than $93 million. Working closely with community groups, financial institutions and government agencies, it promotes the revitalization of low- to moderate-income neighborhoods and participates in community planning and development.
 "Mr. Cameron has been the driving force behind the successes of National City Community Development Corporation," said David A. Daberko, president and CEO, National City Bank. "He is well known and well respected by both community and government leaders. His long history with National City has allowed him to forge strong relationships with the community groups that are interested in private-public ventures."
 His 24-year career with National City began in 1968 as a data processing trainee. Cameron transferred to the branch administration division in 1972, was appointed branch manager in 1975, and was promoted to assistant vice president in 1979. In 1984, Cameron was named vice president, governmental affairs. Having served as executive director of National City Community Development Corporation since 1982, Cameron was elected president of the subsidiary in 1986.
 He has served for five years as trustee for Cuyahoga Community College Foundation, is a member of the NAACP, and is program chairman and past vice president of Blacks In Management. Cameron also serves as vice chairman of the Board of Deacons for East Mt. Zion Church, and has been a youth advisor with the church for the past 14 years.
 A native of Hogansville, Ga., Cameron and his wife live in Warrensville Hts, Ohio.
