 POSTS RECORD NINE MONTHS RESULTS
 FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla., Feb. 28 /PRNewswire/ -- Reflecting significant acceptance by major grocery retailers of the profit benefits derived from the company's warehouse distribution system, National Beverage Corp. (NASDAQ: POPS) today reported record increases in sales and earnings for the nine month period ended Jan. 25, 1992. Net income for the nine months was $5.4 million, or $2.10 per share, on sales of $242.5 million. For the comparable period in the previous year, revenues increased 6 percent, up from $229.8, while earnings increased 78 percent, up from $3.1 million.
 For the current three month period, the company reported an operating loss of $300,000, on sales of $61.4 million as compared to a loss of $1.9 million, on sales of $60.7 million for last year's third quarter.
 "Responsive and coordinated sales-marketing programs, coupled with innovative procurement strategies, resulted in a significant reducto?f losses in the off-season period," a company spokesperson stated.
 National Beverage, which began trading Sept. 13, 1991 on NASDAQ, is a holding company for various operating subsidiaries that manufacture, market and distribute a full line of cola and multi- flavored branded soft drinks and bottled water under the ShaR?), Faygo(R), Body Works(R), a Sante(R), and Spree(R) trademarks. The company's subsidiaries, through their 12 strategically located manufacturing facilities, also bottle soft drinks for retail grocery chains, wholesalers and other soft drink companies.
