NASD DENIES ENVIRONMENTAL DIAGNOSTICS, INC. EXCEPTION
 BURLINGTON, N.C., June 8 /PRNewswire/ -- Environmental Diagnostics,

Inc. (OTC Bulletin Board: EDIT) reported today that it was informed Friday, June 5, 1992 that an application by the Company for exception in order to meet NASDAQ asset and capital and surplus requirements had been denied. As a result the Company's stock is now traded on the NNOTC Bulletin Board.
The Company had recently completed a warrant conversion with the assistance of its new investment banker, Josephthal Lyon & Ross, Inc. Gross proceeds from the warrant conversion were $1,017,000 and placed the Company within, approximately, $400,000 of meeting NASDAQ's recently revised listing specifications.
"We are very surprised and disappointed that the NASD has made this decision," stated James D. Skinner, President and C.E.O. "The Company has already filed an appeal to the NASD to reconsider the decision.
"At a compliance hearing held at the NASD on June 3, 1992, EDI presented a plan to comply with NASDAQ listing requirements. Although, we hope that the NASD will reconsider and reverse its decision as quickly as possible, it is our intention to continue exploring options with our investment banker."
