NAHB EXPERT TO EVALUATE HURRICANE DAMAGE IN HAWAII
MIAMI, Sept. 17 /PRNewswire/ -- The National Association of Home

Builders has sent its program manager for civil engineering, Ken Ford, to the island of Kauai in Hawaii to assess damage caused by Hurricane Iniki and compare it with the damage caused by Hurricane Andrew in South Florida.
Ford, who is based at the association's headquarters in Washington, has been in South Florida for the past three weeks on loan to the Builders Association of South Florida. With their rebuilding efforts under way, the BASF will be able to provide Hawaii with its organizational expertise developed over the last couple of weeks.
While in Hawaii he will review damage caused by Hurricane Iniki, compare it with the devastation in Florida and determine what type of assistance is needed in the Hawaiian rebuilding effort.
