NACORE inducts John Blake as 1993-1995 chairman.

The International Association of Corporate Real Estate Executives (NACORE) has inducted its 1993-1995 chairman of the board -- John E. Blake, MCR, senior vice president, Properties and Facilities, The Hertz Corp. The ceremony was held at the 20th Annual Symposium and Exposition in Chicago.

A total of 1,685 attended symposium, the premier annual gathering for executives controlling the real estate assets for major corporations active throughout the U. S. and abroad. Blake, elected to a two-year term at NACORE's winter meeting of the Board of Directors in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, succeeds Chairman William J. Scarpino, MCR, senior vice president of Sizzler International, Inc. in Los Angeles.

Based in Park Ridge, New Jersey, Blake oversees Hertz Real Estate, Airport Relations, Facilities and Construction, and Property Management operations. He has directed major real estate transactions throughout the U.S. and Canada over the last several years, and oversees and approves European transactions.

He previously served as Hertz vice president, Properties and Facilities, and has held a number of real estate-related positions since joining the company in 1970.

A resident of Glen Rock, New Jersey, Blake is a member of the Illinois State Bar and the Association of Airport Executives as well as NACORE's Board of Directors. He received a law degree from DePaul University in Chicago.
