NA-122 segregation process: RO Rejects Imran's objection.

LAHORE -- Additional District and Sessions Judge/Returning Officer NA122 Shahida Saeed on Monday rejected the objection by PTI leader Imran Khan on presence of representatives of irrelevant candidates during segregation of national and provincial constituencies record in NA122.

Imran Khan had moved an application submitting that he challenged the election of National Assembly Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq before the election tribunal and approached the Election Commission for inspection of NA122 record.

He pointed out that other candidates from the constituency neither challenged the election nor approached the election commission for the inspection of NA122 record.

But, now the representatives of other candidates had also joined the segregation process, he added. He pleaded to restrain representatives of other candidates from supervising the segregation process.

However, the returning officer rejected the application and ordered to restart the segregation process on November 25.

It is pertinent to mention that the returning officer had previously initiated the inspection of record of NA122 but the process was stopped after the records for national and provincial assemblies were recovered from the same bag.

On last Thursday, the segregation process was started but it was stopped after Imran khan representatives objected on presence of irrelevant candidates' representatives through an application.
