NA demands establishing graveyard for rural areas of Islamabad.

ISLAMABAD -- The National Assembly on Tuesday unanimously demanded establishing a separate graveyard for rural areas of NA 48, Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT).

NA unanimously adopted a resolution to allocate the land for setting up a graveyard in the rural areas of Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT).The resolution was moved by Asad Umer.

Speaking on the occasion the mover of the resolution Asad Umer said his constituency NA 48 lacks basic amenities of life. H-9 graveyard is far away from the rural areas of the city. Sufficient land should be allocated for setting up a separate graveyard for the people of rural areas of Islamabad.

Meanwhile, the National Assembly also adopted a resolution asking the government to take immediate measures for promoting religious harmony in the country.The resolution was moved by MNA Asiya Naz Tanoli.

The National Assembly passed a Bill seeking amendments in Rules of Procedure and Conduct of Business in the National Assembly 2007. The private Bill was moved by Dr Ramesh Kumar Vankwani. In the proposed amendments in rules 52, 60(2), 198(3), 206 and 210 of the Rules of Procedure for the expression 'Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs' the expression 'Parliamentary Affairs' shall be substituted. The rules 110, 118(3), 129(2), 170(5), 170(A) (3) and 175(1) for the expression 'Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs' the expression 'Ministry of Parliamentary Affairs and Ministry of Law and Justice' shall be substituted;Inthe proviso to sub-rule (2) of rule 198, for the expression 'Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs' the expression 'Ministry of Law and Justice' shall be substituted.In the proviso to sub-rule (2) of rule 200, for the expression 'Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs' the expression 'Ministry of Law and Justice' shall be substituted; In the sub-rule (4) of rule 200, for the expression 'Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs' the expression 'Ministry of Law and Justice' shall be substituted; The proposed amendment in sub-rule (4) of rule 244-A, for the expression 'Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs' the expression 'Ministry of Law and Justice' shall be substituted.

NA also passed Federal Public Service Commission, Amendment Bill 2017.The Private Bill was moved by MNA Dr Fauzia Hameed.

National Assembly also adopted a Bill, The Criminal Law (Amendment) Bill, 2017. The private Bill was moved by Ms Mussarat Ahmad Zeb.

The chair referred another Bill to relevant National Assembly Standing Committee for further deliberations.

The Bill seeking amendments in the Rules of Procedure and conduct of Business in National Assembly suggesting that one fourth of the total strength of committees shall compromised of women members.

The Bill was moved by PPP leader Ms Shazia Marri.
