N.J. renovations add new polish.

A half-million dollar capital improvement program now underway at 570 West Mount Pleasant Ave., a 41,000-SF office building in Livingston, N.J., is adding new polish to the two-story structure. The property's owner, Kushner Companies of Florham Park, N.J., recently completed extensive interior renovations to the 30-year-old building and is now turning its attention to the building's brick exterior, which will be refurbished to complement new landscaping and walkways at the site.

The building's current tenants, which include two insurance companies and four law firms, the largest of which is Braff Harris and Sukonek, LLC, are pleased with the results of the renovation. Anthony Montano, president of American Marketing Center of New Jersey, and a tenant since April, also praised the building's new image. "Inside and out, it really looks great," he noted. "It makes a terrific imp impression."

Situated the heart of Livingston, just one mile from Route 280 an 8 miles from Route 287, the building offers convenient access to Newark International Airport -- 25 minutes southeast, as well as New York City -- 35 minutes northeast.

The lobby and hallways were redesigned to give them a more elegant, upscale look, with some walls receiving a granite finish, and others new mahogany paneling. Wallpaper, artwork and lighting were upgraded, and the elevator received new brass doors. Herculite glass doors with brass handles were installed on all interior offices. Complete retrofits of all restrooms were also done, with ceramic tiling installed on the first floor.
