N.H., Vt. realty firms merge.
West Lebanon-based McLaughry Associates has merged with two Vermont firms to form the largest real estate company in the Green Mountain State and the third-largest independent firm in New England.McLaughry, Lang Associates of South Burlington and Pall Spera Co. of Stowe will be known as Lang McLaughry Spera, with 12 offices and a 205-person staff, covering the Upper Connecticut River Valley, central Vermont and Stowe areas and northwestern Vermont, including greater Chittenden County. Last year, combined sales of the three firms topped $600 million.
Staige Davis, owner of Lang, will serve as the new firm's chief executive officer with its headquarters in South Burlington.
Buff McLaughry, owner of the McLaughry firm, will serve as chief operating officer. Pall Spera will serve as president of the company's luxury brand unit.
McLaughry Real Estate was founded in 1959. Lang Associates and Pall Spera Company were both founded in 1969.
