 N.C. AGRIBUSINESS COUNCIL SCHEDULES NEWS CONFERENCES SEPT. 22-23
 RALEIGH, N.C., Sept. 21 /PRNewswire/ -- The North Carolina Agribusiness Council will hold news conferences in Charlotte, Greensboro and Raleigh to kick-off the statewide Agribusiness Public Awareness campaign.
 "We have some exciting information to share with you about North Carolina's number one industry, agribusiness," said Paul Dew, executive vice president of the N.C. Agribusiness Council. "Even though only about 2 percent of the population is engaged in farming, more than 30 percent work in agribusiness occupation."
 "Decision-makers, as well as the general public, need to be educated about the vital role agribusiness plays in the state's economic well- being."
 Several of North Carolinas agricultural leaders will be on hand to share this information. They include Jim Graham, N.C. Commissioner of Agriculture; Durward Bateman, Dean, College of Agriculture and Life Sciences, N.C. State University; and Jack Milani, President, N.C. Agribusiness Council, Inc.
 In addition, key CEOs of major agribusiness corporations will attend.

 CHARLOTTE: Tuesday, Sept. 22 -- 8:00 - 9:00 a.m. News conference and breakfast at the Tower Club, located at 201 S. College Street, Charlotte Plaza 27th floor.
 GREENSBORO: Tuesday, Sept. 22 -- 12:30 - 2:00 p.m. News conference and luncheon at the Marriott Hotel, located near the Piedmont Triad International Airport, One International Drive.
 RALEIGH: Wednesday, Sept. 23 -- Noon - 1 p.m. News conference and luncheon at the Capital City Club, Center Plaza Building, 21st floor, 411 Fayetteville Street Mall.
