Mystery acrobatics; In Brief.

RESIDENTS were left baffled by a mystery aircraft performing acrobatics over Coventry.

A stunt plane with smoke pouring from the back was spotted over Eastern Green, Tile Hill and Allesley yesterday afternoon. Footage of the plane was caught by social media users.

Some said the display left them worried following the Shoreham air disaster when a vintage jet crashed in a fireball onto a busy road, killing at least 11 people on the ground. Eastern Green resident Sean Casey Poole said: "We have just had a yellow stunt plane fly over Eastern Green performing very scary stunts considering what's just happened."

It was later confirmed the plane was performing stunts as part of wedding celebrations at the Windmill Hotel in Allesley.
