MySpace and Chili's Celebrate Secret Show Birthday with Best Buy Alliance.

Secret Shows Presented by Chili's Turns One-Year Old with Party and Gallery Event Featuring Performances by Clipse, Cold War Kids and Diamond Nights

LOS ANGELES -- MySpace.com announced today it will commemorate the first birthday of the community's most popular franchise, Secret Shows presented by Chili's, by launching an alliance with Best Buy. Under the deal, MySpace Secret Show artists will receive promotion in more than 550 Best Buy stores nationwide.

"Secret Shows has become MySpace's most successful program to bridge music online and in the physical world," said Josh Brooks, VP of MySpace Content and Programming for MySpace. "Having both an in-store presence with Best Buy and an on-site partner Chili's, we're able to truly carry the Secret Show experiences into our member's offline lifestyle."

Tonight, MySpace's Secret Show presented by Chili's is throwing itself a birthday party in Hollywood with a concert featuring Clipse, Cold War Kids, and Diamond Nights.

"We're pleased to be able to support MySpace's Secret Show as a way to help our customers discover new music," said Ed Hogan, senior buyer for music at Best Buy. "At Best Buy we are always looking for ways to expose our customers to exciting, developing artists. Secret Show is helping by bringing new music to people online, in-store, and live."

In February 2006, MySpace launched the "Secret Shows" franchise, allowing the community to receive advance notice of intimate, free concerts hosted by the website by becoming friends with the program's profile. Secret Shows debuted at the Hotel Cafe with Jenny Lewis and the Elected and featured a surprise finale performance by Rilo Kiley. Since the program's debut concert, MySpace has hosted intimate, U.S. events with the Franz Ferdinand, James Blunt, Method Man, Ray LaMontagne, The Yeah Yeah Yeahs and Lily Allen among others. International Secret Shows have included Noel Gallagher in Tokyo, Mickey Avalon in Sydney and Primal Scream in London.

MySpace is currently operating in 10 countries and has more than 90 million unique users per month(a) with 30 of those from international members. MySpace recently launched the Secret Show franchise in the UK, Australia and France, marking each country's official launch with shows in London, Melbourne and Paris. Memorable Secret Shows moments includes Gnarls Barkley's first live U.S. performance, the Killers' first live performance of material from Sam's Town, a Tenacious D movie screening and show performance, and a homecoming performance with JET in Australia.

In conjunction with the first anniversary concert, MySpace's Secret Show will also present a gallery showing featuring prints from Secret Show house photographers Jeremy Weiss of Day 19, Aaron Farley, Emily Shur, Matthew Salacuse, Zach Wolfe, and Jason Wilder. A unique, artist numbered silk-screened poster was created for each Secret Show and the gallery showing will present every limited edition poster created by Los Angeles artists Micah Smith of Blacktop Creative and Dan Padavic.
